In Transit to Athens
DAY 2 — at sea
Ship’s time jumped ahead one hour as we crossed a time zone over night. That means the very late night (early morning) bedtime kept us in bed almost until lunchtime. 🤪
It worked out quite well as we missed both the breakfast rush and the lunch rush that began about 1:30 — the Italians eat a later lunch.
It turned into a lazy afternoon. After “lunch” we had gelato, played some cards, and had coffee. The weather turned quite sunny and nice in the later afternoon so we took a walk outside. Then we enjoyed some afternoon karaoke.
Naps, shopping onboard, and snacks filled the rest of the afternoon and early evening. It was elegant night, so we al dressed up for the show and dinner. We also got to meet the captain.
The Wright’s had lobster tonight, Kristi had risotto, and Jim had a delicious duck. We turned in after dinner — 11pm — so we can get up for our day in Athens tomorrow.
